I need some help here. I am a first time blackberry owner having bought an 8330 curve - I have been pinning my buddy but every-time he pins me there is no ring or sound - I have tried going into profiles but can't seem to get an audible set - Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx!:

make sure you are changing the settings in the active profile..put your phone profile on loud and have him send you a message. it should ring

When you go to Profiles scroll all the way down to Advanced.
The one listed as active is the profile you are currently using.
Press the trackball and edit BBM Alert and BBM New Message.
Save and close.

In Profiles, Advanced set the sound for Level 1 Messages. Make sure it is not muted and turn the volume up. PIN messages are level 1 messages.
