Hi all,
I have a 4GB Micro SD Card. I have no problem uploading/downloading files to my XP PC using my USB Card Reader.
I then put the 4GB Micro SD Card into my BlackBerry Curve 8310. When I connect my BB to my XP PC through USB cable, XP PC cannot detect the 4GB Micro inside my BB. I was able to do all that with my 1GB Micro SD Card. That is why I got so excited and got this 4GB Mico SD Card.
I am currently running 4.2 as OS on my BB. If someone can give me some pointers, that will be great. Thanks and have a nice day.
its like this. Curve is 4.2.2.170 for ATT
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2GB
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4GB * BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4GB
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8GB

if 909 is running 4.2.2 and not 4.2 like he said, then yes there should be no issues running a 4GB.
Thank you all for repsonding my issue with a 4G Micro SD Card in my BB 8310.
The issue is now resolved.
First of all, my OS is v4.2.2.170.
I got my 1GB micro sd card worked just fine with my BB 8310. When I connected my BB to my XP PC using a USB cable, XP detected it, and I was able to upload/download files to my 1GB micro sd card just fine.
Under Option/Media Card, I had my setting as below:
Media Card Support: on
Encryption Mode: None
Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode.....: Yes
Then I swapt my 1GB micro SD card with the new 4GB one. And I ran into the issue of my XP PC detecting my new 4GB part through my BB.
I had to set Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode..... from Yes to Prompt,
connected through USB cable again....and then my XP PC detected the 4GB card just fine.
Thanks for all your attention and pointers. Hope this post help others in the future.
