I was wondering if it's possible to set up the 8900 to show all the pictures attached to contacts in the address book? (When you open contacts, the picture and name would show up automatically).

If I understand your question, the answer is absolutely. I have a pic associated with every contact in my addressbook and they automatically show up everytime I access the contact in the addressbook and/or whenever I get a call from that contact.
The way you set it up is simply associate a picture in your settings on Microsoft Outlook.
