I upgraded my os a while back and ever since that day sattelites can never be aquired. Google gives me my location within 2km using cell phone signal triangulation, but never sattelite lock.
What's the deal? How can I fix it?
I have os 4.5.0.56
And google maps 2.2.3
Thanks for your help.

I did upgrade my Curve to the exact same OS you have and haven't had an issue with
my GPS. The OS you installed, has it been released by your carrier? Or is it from
another carrier. Have you removed the vendor XML file if its from another carrier?

It was not released by my vendor. I'm with telus. Have they made a release yet? I remember removing the vendor file. Maybe I messed it up. Anything else?

I haven't run into the same issue myself. It might be worth checking this. Options>Advanced Options>Gps. Check that the Gps Services is set to Location On

I'm on mobile so I can't see your model but when I had .56 on my 8330 I used to have to open BBMaps to acquire sattelites then application switch to gmaps. With .66 and now .77 it picks it up by itself after a few seconds. I've never had an OS install change my GPS settings but it wouldn't hurt to make sure it's enabled.
