I was wandering if there was anyway to get it saying GPRS instead of gprs? I've got a Blackberry curve 8520. My Mum and Dad have got the same phone as me but their's say GPRS when mine says gprs. Their's work on facebook, app world, windowas live messenger etc. when mine don't. So is there anyway to get my phone to say GPRS instead of gprs?? Thanks in advance

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? GPRS (in capital letters) means that BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is active while gprs (lowercase letters) means that BIS isn't active or you don't have a data plan.

In order to fully use your BlackBerry phone (use facebook, browse the internet, AppWorld, Messenger, etc) you need to have BIS.

Whenever the service is in caps it is data and no data is lower case, as the above said. It is the same for all the service types.
