I just rediscovered geocaching again yesterday. I desperately want to be able to use my 8330 Curve BB to do it. Has anyone found an app that will work on this phone with VERIZON?? From what I can tell, Verizon seems to be the hold up.

The GPS receiver on that model with Verizon only works with BBMaps andVZNav. There's no work around.

You can, however, use the geocaching applications that do not rely on the GPS receiver.

As Motorcycle Mama noted, there's no work-around to enable the GPS in the Verizon 8330. However, you can use an external GPS that communicates with the BlackBerry via GPS. I used a Freedom Keychain 2000 with my Verizon 8830. I didn't use it for geocaching, but there is no reason it shouldn't work. It provides GPS data to the BlackBerry and doesn't interface with the user software at all.
