browser is kinda clunky, even opera mini.
--however I've tried using the forum and chat gpt/ other ai to try and find a solution for email clients.
--I've tried logicmail, pico mail and even the browsers but they dont work over wifi or data
--does anyone know something I could try?

I have LogicMail (v2.2.0.85) working on carrier's data connection on BB Curve 9320 (OS 7.1.0.1098) since BB server shutdown (in Jan 2022) with the following settings:

The key is to find an email service provider which still supports basic authentication and TLS v1.0. I assume that you have the last version of LogicMail (v2.2.0.85), which is the "Latest build" listed here:

My email service provider is a small Canadian ISP. They do not pay much attention to that part of their business. Some features, like email forwarding, have been broken for years and never fixed (you need to use their internal code to get it working as the button on the "settings" web page does not work). Having said that, the service is still very reliable, I have never had any problems with missing or delayed emails. It is a low maintenance operation, I guess, just like BIS used to be after BBOS development had stopped. You can probably find more email providers like that. Mozilla's ISP Database mentioned before might be a good start:

Just look for the following strings in the XML file:

<socketType>SSL</socketType>

<authentication>password-cleartext</authentication>

And if you see this anywhere then all bets are off:

<authentication>OAuth2</authentication>

According to Mozilla's XML file (dated 2023-06-29) outlook.com should actually still be working ok with Logic Mail (imap, pop3 and smtp). Otherwise I would first try gmx.com.

Several have reported the outlook.com is no longer working due to MS shutdown for support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1. It's been deprecated for a while, but I guess MS finally pulled the plug on June 30th (them and most the major email services, as per a US government request). It has affected a few of the old BBOS users, but in the USA there aren't really any with the 3G shutdown. Not sure how many there really are around the world right now, and of those how many use email to much of a degree.... but possible that those in under developed markets also have access to an ISP running an outdated system that still allows it.

I signed up for GMX and tried both SSL and TLS. Neither worked and this page says, 'we no longer support the older TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1'.

It looks like GMX won't work any more. You might be able to find some other providers which are slow to phase out support for older versions of TLS at the link below. I can see Mailbox.org, Startmail.com and Tutanota.com but there might be more. They seem all located outside the US:
