Ok i am positive this has been asked and all. I checked all the links in the popular links sticky as well. Does anyone here know of a completely free IM program that can be used for hotmail contacts? I mean no paying what so ever.

How bo0ut this
INSTANGO Free Mobile Chat For BlackBerry | BerryReview.com
In your honest which do you guys prefer? Are all of the above free forever? No hidden fees or future payments?
IMO Instango is the best of the group. But you should keep in
mind that everything listed above uses data to send and receive.
I have unlim data. just looking for the best free one, so you think instango. Is it entirely 100% free no hidden crap?
Yeah, for me Instango has the cleanest and most user friendlly
interface of all the others. And yes it is entirely free on my
carrier. Used it extensively for six or so months and my bill never
changed.
Bell, I am assuming is a Canadian carrier so I can't address
whether or not it will be completely free, but I would think it
would be as you have unlimited data.
k thx for the help
I only have wifi and found that instango has issues connecting. It says available on aim, but none of my buddies are logged in, yet when I log in on my desktop they are. I have it set to use wifi but it appears as though it won't. I have data disabled as I do not have a data plan. Are there ANY im clients that actually work on wifi only?
Palringo gave wouldn't connect at all, but it had no way to select wifi.
Instango gets my vote :)
I don't understand why Bell would charge for live messenger ims?
I think aim in general is not working right for mobile.

You are probably correct. There have been several threads today on AIM
issues. Appears the are doing server maintenance of some sort.
I have the same question.
Pricing structure in Canada and some other parts of the world are different
than here in the States.
When I click the WLM icon, it gives me a splash page stating $3 for service use, kind of ghetto if you ask me. Overall I'm loving the Curve. Best damn phone ever.
 I have NEVER been able to log on to WLM from my Blackberry Bold. I get a "server is busy" error message every time.
I have tried everything from deleting and re-installing the application to wiping my blackberry and updating the firmware. The message appears regardless if I am using the BIS or wi-fi.
I have signed in on a PC (just to see what happens) and then tried signing in using Blackberry app. Seconds after I click connect on blackberry, I see the PC notification which advises that I have signed in from another 'computer'. But on Blackberry I still just get the "server busy" message.
It's infuriating.
Same thing with my curve. I just gave up.
