Well, after a few weeks of seeking advice and going back and forth
between the bold and the 8900 I finally pulled the trigger.

Came home last night with the 8900 curve. My firsr Berry and,
so far, I am very pleased. Looking foward to the time with this device.
I also have 30 days if I change my mind for some reason.

Now the questions will shift from what model to: how do you?
what now? can I do this? etc.

Thanks for all the advice and insight.

Wise choice. I think the Bold is kind of dorky looking.

The 8900 is the hottest phone ever made.

I just got my BB Curve 8900 last week! I realized I made it through just in time without having to get a monthly data plan. There's one thing I'd like to ask though: considering that I don't have a data plan and will be paying $2/MB per use, is it worth setting up a BIS account/service/thingy to get my webmail pushed to me? I mostly intend to access the Internet through my BB through Wi-Fi 95% of the time. I don't want to be charged for data usage over EDGE when I am away from a hotspot. Having email everywhere I go isn't really a necessity for me.

I chose the 8900 as the replacement for my storm when it broke... I had the option of the bold or the Jav and I am so glad I went with the Jav... The bold is ******* massive.

i do like the curves. i had a 8310 and updated the os and used a bold theme on it. so its not much diff from my 8900 now except for hardware. its a lot faster with the 512mhz processor. when your viewing photos the thumbnails load MUCH quicker. and the camera has a very nice 3.2MP's. im sure u will enjoy yours.

March 10th is when me and my 8900 met for the first time. It was also my first Blackberry ever. And I must say, I will never buy any other phone but a Blackberry ever again. You'll love it. Every day I am finding out different and useful ways to make my phone a truly efficient and useful machine. It's awesome. I know you'll love it!
