So I just got my phone, started playing with it and i noticed when i press the end call button. The lower bottom right corner of the LCD distorts as if pressure is being put directly on the screen. Anyone else facing this?

YES!!!! if you try and press your screen down on the lower right, at least in my case, you can hear a noise and feel the screen press down.

    two options:
    a) be safe and call t-mobile ask for a replacement (or store if you bought from store)

    b) tighten all screws, besides the one under the sticker with a torx screwdriver. this is said to work

    Welcome to Crackberry!

Sometimes this happens depending on what buttons you push and how hard you push them. There are some other threads here also discussing that issue. If it is really bad I would consider getting the phone replaced but I think its probably normal.

2 out of the 3 phones i had didn't do this. the one that did, if i pushed the end button at a regular level it would still create the wave effect

Yes the distorting screen is normal. I have exchanged my 8900 and both phones did it. My latest exchange distorted less though.

I kinda gave up. The first set i bought had a scratch on the bezel and i immediately requested for an exchange before i paid. Went home that night, my trackball failed. My screen distorted. Went back to exchange and got a better set.

I think RIM don't make blackberries like they used to ...

Mine doesn't make a sound but it does this if I press the button too hard. Normally though it is fine.

Mine doesnt make a sound either, but it does distrort a little. Not so much that it bugs me though. I was a little worried at first but its good to see that this is an issue with not only the 8900 but BOLD as well

I didn't notice it until I read OP's post. I see it now, but it doesn't bug me enough to replace.
