Ok, I just got a 8530, when I set up my gmail account I can not delete the "server activation" email of my BB. it shows as open when I go into the email icon and I have a permanent new email message indicator. I deleted it of the gmail server but can't get rid
of it on the BB. I uninstalled - re-setup the email. I can delete the new "activation email" but not the original. I did pull the battery, nothing.
Any ideas?

Did you tru going to the Messages icon that shows all messages together and delete it from there as well? That did it for mine a couple times. Try deleting it from there and the do a battery pull and see what happens
