I just installed docs2go on my bb curve 8330. I am trying to figure out how to use it. When I open it and try to compose a new doc, it tells me i need to upgrade to the premium version. Is there a way around this? am I doing something wrong? I have had windows mobile in the past and loved docs2go and would love to have the full version free and running on my bb. Also, are there any programs like OneNote by microsoft for bb?
You need the full premium ver to creare files in D2G...
What everyone does is to save blank .doc/.xls files to the SD card.
Open the blank doc, edit as you see fit, then use the "save as" option to save the file remembering to re-name it.
IMO the extra fiunctions you get aren't worth upgrading for (maybe apart from PDF to go...).

Just save a blank Word doc on your PC, then send it to your BB (Mass Storage Mode, or I just email it to myself) and save it to your phone. Then you can open it in D2G and just Save As New to maintain your previous blank doc.
You are not doing anything wrong and happily there is a solution. D2G as installed has only Word to Go and Slidewhow to Go. The free version is limited and cannot create new documents. But here's a workaround: Email a blank Word or PowerPoint document to yourself, save it, and use it as a template when you want create a "new" document..
Upgrade path:
If you open any of the apps and click MenuKey > Check for Updates, you can register and then download Sheet to Go. You can further upgrade to the Premium version which offers tons more features, can create new docs, and has a nifty PDF viewer. It isn't cheap, though - about $70 for me, sometimes on sale for substantially less.

Unlike DD, I find the upgraded features of the Premium version incredibly useful, particularly the full-featured outline and search functionality in Word, and Sheet to Go has major enhancements as well. YMMV

I was also looking for a OneNote like app, OneNote is just awesome. I ended up using Evernote as a OneNote replacement. It's not the same, but works, and there is a BB app too!
