When I unholster my 8310, the display stays on for about 5 seconds and then the screen goes black. Sometimes I like using it as a quick "flashlight" and 5 seconds is just not enough. I have looked through all the settings trying to find where to adjust this so that it will stay lit longer. The only thing I can find is how it acts after I unlock it. I want to change the length of time the screen stays lit before I unlock it.

    Is this possible??

If you want a "flashlight" open the video cam app, then press the spacebar once. The LED light will come on. A lot brighter than your LCD screen backlight.

That's true, but I really want to just keep my LCD lit longer than 5 seconds after unholstering it. Any thoughts on that?

I use ExtraLight as a flashlight. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but it works.

Let's forget the flashlight comment. I really just want to know if I can keep the display on for longer than 5 seconds after unholstering. Is that possible?

On my 8330, I go to options, Screen/Keyboard-- about halfway down is a backlight timer option

I have the Backlight Timer also under my Screen / Keyboard options on my 8310; mine is set to 1 minute.

Ok, sorry, you need the backlight on longer while locked. I don't think you can adjust that, unless it is something theme-specific.

Mine is doing the same. However, it does this while uinlocked, and if I don't quickly press a button, the system will lock and I am prompted for my password yet again. Oi am on the current AT&T OS and am curious to see if they ...161 upgrade will help
