So here's the deal, I'm in paramedic school & we have a Scheduler/Skills tracking program which we are required to get a PDA for.

My questions is; I want to know if the 8900 meets the device requirements or what I need to DL to make it work on an 8900? Also, if the 8900 won't work will an Iphone?

Here's the requirements listed on the page:

    Device Requirements
    Palm OS versions 3.5.2, 3.5.3, 4.x, or 5.x; 1 MB free memory

    or

Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) versions 2000, 2002 or 2003, Pocket PC Phone Edition, 1.5 MB free memory

    Thanx

Neither of those OSs will run on the Blackberry unfortunately, nor the iPhone. From the sounds of the requirements it sounds like quite an outdated piece of software.

Those seem like specific requirements so that's what I would get. I see no mention of a BB.

You would be safe with a Pocket PC. Check Dell, Toshiba, HP, Eten, Acer, etc etc.

If you got a BlackBerry all you would need to do is transcribe the data from the scheduler/skills tracker program.

Nope, BB or iPhone will not work. They're pimping WinMobile/Palm. Too bad.
