    Hello,

I seem to be having an issue when people call me it takes a few seconds for the myself and the other person to hear each other. Sometimes it could be about 5 seconds. I am hearing more people saying the same thing and they just simply hang up.

What do you think this could be?

    Thanks

Check local carrier cs dept, might have high-usage issues for your area? Does it happen always or certain times of day. Heavy traffic times like lunch time and rush hour after 5pm are the worst for service issues.

What OS version is your BB running? Options, About. Third line down. This is a bug in certain OS builds.

The newly released 4.5.0.169 (sticky thread at top of these forums) looks to be stable, and no problems have been reported with it so far.

Yes , no problem. Remove the vendor.xml file in the following folder, C:\Programs\Common files\Research in Motion\Apploader, after downloading and installing the OS to your computer and you will be good to go.

It just tells Apploader what carrier the OS is for. Apploader then compares that to the device info on your BB. That's why Apploader will say there is no software for your device if you don't remove the file.

So any different apps from carriers come from the service books?

They can, but they also get loaded during the install process as well. For instance, I load a non-Verizon carrier OS on my BB after removing the vendor.xml file. The installer automatically loads the Verizon theme to my BB as well.

So I have to remember to use Crackem to remove the carrier themes before I do all my installs.
