    Hi people, I just got a Data plan yesterday.

    I want to know how many kb equals to 1GB cause I am on the 1GB plan and I really really do not want to exceed that.

    I am using Mini Monitor to track my data usage.

    Now it is currently 10087K

    Please help me! And thanks (:

    Btw the applications uses K, which means KB right?
    LOL, thank you for all help!

    Btw, add me on BBM: 2167C772

    Hey. I have never ever ever gone even nearly past 500mb and I doubt that will ever happen to you unless you tether or watch extensive multimedia.

    1MB = 1,024KB
    1GB = 1,024MB or 1,048,576KB

    So, so far, you've been using about 10MB of data. If you have 1GB data plan, you still have about 1,000MB or 1,038,400KB data left.

    Er, no. Carriers are cheap. They don't use the ACTUAL data amount, because that would cost more. For them:

    1MB = "Approximately" (as in dead on) 1,000KB
    1GB = " " 1,000MB or 1,000,000KB.

    And unless you're constantly downloading music, streaming, tethering FOR streaming, you won't exceed it. I have a 1gb tethering plan and use it daily, (for CB / basic site browsing, no movies or games) and still don't go over my limit.
