Go to options / mobile network / data services - make sure it's on. Also, is network selection mode set to Automatic? If yes, try doing a search manually, and choose T-Mobile...
Also, let's try and keep this thread on track. This thread is about 'unlocking the Curve'.

I tried the hard reset, I also upgraded the software to v4.2.2.114 folowing the instruction i have read in this forum but still. I also tried my SIM card in a blackberry 8100 to make sure it's not the problem.
Excuse me? Lots of people can help you, besides me. I didn't realize I was on 'contract' with you...
Anyway, swiftly moving on. Is there anyone near by with a T-Mobile or AT&T SIM card? If yes, try their SIM, and see what happens.
Also, once the SIM is in, and the device is on, what shows in the top right of the screen, for service? I know it has no service, but something must be there, surely. Or, in the middle of the screen, does it say, "searching for network"? Was it a brand new unit, or? I would consider getting it replaced...
One more thing, from the main screen, go to options / advanced options / host routing table and scroll to the only bold item, press menu / register now...
Do you receive a text message, "BlackBerry Registration"?
I did try someone else T mobile SIM card but getting the same thing. When the divice is turned on it shows " searching for network" for a couple a minutes and then ' No Network".
For the Host Routing Table says " no entries"
When I try to register for the Host Routing Table i get this message " Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is avalaible"
Unfortunately the eBay seller does not accept return after 7 days and I’m having it for two weeks now trying everything possible.
I do love that phone!!
I also think that it should be a software problem, I have cheked the phone and I'm positif it has been never opend, so maybe someone there can have the solution, please just keep the thread open.
