Hey guys curve showing odd characters when pressing ANY buttons. Dial button doesnt answer, end button goes to dial screen and showing weird characters. menu button and backspace button doing same. this phone started having trackball issues a few days ago, no matter what i did the trackball would only go left or right (not up or down). I replaced the ball and same results, rebooted, took battery out same results.
Sooo, i took track device out, put some alcohol on cotton swab and wiped sendor board. Since then it behaves the way i mentioned above. I did a firmware reset and it solved the issue (or so i thought) then eventually came back. battery reset again and problem disappeard agin, then came back???
Any thoughts? i didnt soak the motherboard by any means...
Ok issue solved! Sent phone to bbrepairshop and they said they needed ultra sonic cleaning. Apparently the keypad was corroded. 50 dollar job and all is fixed.
