my friend give me his month old 8900 and everything is fine but i doesnt read any of my memory cards can some please help i have been through the settings puting all the options on and still nothing works. i have tried 2 different cards that work and still nothing.

Did you use Options > Memory > Menu > Format???

it doesnt read the card at all it just says a media card is not presently inserted in the device. there is no option for me to format

Sounds like you either have bad SD Cards, or you are not seating the card correctly, or you have a bad slot.

i must have a bad slot beacause both my cards work i have tested them on other phones and i know im putting them right beacuse im not forcing them and fits right. do you know how much a repair like this would costÉ

Sorry, I don't know... if it was T-Mobile I'd be calling them about a warrant exchange, but I don't know how Roger's works.

its not my phone and my friend canceled his contract so rogers has no obligations to the phone. i just wanna know like if i took it to a shop how much would fixing the slot cost
