Contacts restore
Updated a few days ago to wind hellas 5 os..
My contacts are now scrambled and some gone. lost important info, plus pics n birthdays..
I was trying to restore from DM but can't, any help on this plz?? !!!!!!!!!!
on the pics you can see how my contacts are messed up and repeated, some gone :@
On DM i went to advanced to restore just my address book, but as you can see, it wont let me.:(.. (I also did the simple full restore, but everything was restored except my contacts :@)

First, when you go into Advanced it will scan your device on the Right side, you can then select the Address Book database and Clear that... then load the Backup file on the Left side, select the Address Book and click the Right arrows pushing your Address Book from your backup file (left) to your device (right).

can't clear that on DM in advance, It just let me copy it to the left but not clear it.

I told you exactly how to do it... if it's not work, then do a battery pull: Leave your device ON, then pull the battery out for 20 seconds, put the battery back in and wait for your device to boot up.
Then open DM, Backup and Restore, Advanced, select the Address Book, click the Clear button, then open your backup file and restore just the Address Book.

I am having the exact same issue after upgrading to the latest os (.545). The address book in the right column is grayed out and will not allow me to clear it. Has anyone else had problems with their contacts getting messed up after upgrading. I have multiples of some contacts and lost some. There are some contacts repeated 5 or 6 times. I'm assuming my address book got corrupted somehow during the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I figured out why I couldn't clear the address book and why it was grayed out. In order to clear it you must go to Address Book >> Options >> and then turn off the >>Wireless Synchronization. After that it will allow you to clear the Address Book and then restore them from a backup file. Hope this helps fureii.

Hmmm - I have the exact same problem. Except I have neither the Wireless synchronization option, nor the "delete Desktop SYNC" service book option. I'm on BIS if that makes a difference.
If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!
