    I just got a BB Curve 8900! I love the phone, set up almost everything on it, BUT even though I set up my g-mail account (downloaded the g-mail plugin, too) I can't receive my e-mails.
    I'm pretty sure everything is set up properly, and keep sending myself test e-mails to see if it will work, but get no result. I also made sure that my wi-fi network is connected and working right.

    You need a data plan for the Gmail app to work properly.

    If you don't have a data plan you will need to log in to the gmail website to read and send email.

    yeah, just double checked on my at&t account and i have unlimited data on my plan

    yes, i do have it. im sure because when i first got the phone and set up my e-mail a couple of messages from this site's registration verification came through on to my phone, but that's it.
    i resent the registration message under the "host routing table" as i read in another thread but still nothing. arg!
