Hi. I was just wondering if there is any way to manually turn on the camera flash on the Curve to use as a flashlight.

Unfortunately, without the aid of a possible 3rd party app, the device does not have this function.

Video Recorder -> Options -> Video Light and turn it on. It will turn the light on for as long as you have the video recorder open

Very useful tip! Keep in mind, however, that some carriers' devices aren't equipped with video recourding capabilities. ATT, for example, doesn't. Lucky us with Verizon!!!

Do not buy the flashlight software, here on CB. Not good at all. If you can, use the flash of the camera.

It recourds video? My boss, three coworkers, and a couple friends all have the Curve from ATT. None of their devices have this option.

Anyone with OS 4.3 can use the video recorder light as a flashlight (works great, BTW). When OS 4.5 becomes available, everyone will be able to use it.

funny but i could swear my 8310 curve said ATT on it and i do have a video recorder along with the option to have the light on when the video application is on...guess verizon aint that special anymore lol

If you have the video recorder icon, just click it and hit space bar once. a little shortcut for you. (VZW BTW)
