So i've had my 8900 for a couple months now but for the last month or so i've noticed a weird problem with the phone. I always put my phone into stand-by mode before i put it into my pocket. When i take the phone out of my pocket it is still in stand-by but sometimes when i hit the mute button to exit stand-by the camera will be on like its ready to take a picture. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what could be going wrong.

Try doing a battery pull and see if that helps. If it continues try setting the right convenience button to something other than the camera and see what happens, it could be that your pushing it accidentally.

Being right handed I often hit that button accidentally.

Yea, I'm sure you were just hitting the convenience key as well.
