    Please don't worry so much. The likelihood of the phone being a refurb is slim. The 8900 is just too new.

    Refurbs usually have a different decal on the phone body where the battery goes. In many cases its a new decal that is placed over the original decal. See if your replacement has an original decal or if it looks like a second or different decal has been placed on the phone body.

    RIM sends TMo phone bodies to use as warranty replacements. Only once the refurb program begins will the replacements be a mixture of new and refurbs.
