Bought a Verizon 8330 thats now in collections, they wont activate it HELP!!

To make a long story short I purchased an 8330 on ebay back in may that turned out to eventually be connected to an account in collections. Because of this Verizon won't activate the phone.

I called after receiving the phone in may and checked the ESN and it was clear. Several months later I sold the phone and Verizon refuses to activate it because it now shows connected to an account in collections for non payment.

Is there anything that can be done with this phone? I have been frauded as the phone was "new in the box"! Can I unlock this 8330 and it be used on Sprint or perhaps Rogers in Canada? Please help with any advice! Thanks

You sold the phone and now Verizon is raising a stink? Did you use the phone? and if so for how long?

Rogers is a CDMA carrier so the answer there is no.
Sprint will not allow a phone from another carrier on their
network so again the answer is no,
