All of a sudden when i press the trackball it is taking like several minutes for blackberry to respond. Could this be sign of needing a new battery? I did a battery pull with no results. thanks

Its a sign of depleting memory. Usually..

go to options, status, and tell us what your free file is..

It needs at least 12,xxx,xxx to function correctly..

so if less than 12,xxx,xxx file free does that mean it is the battery?

No, that is the device memory...you need to clean up your device, get some apps off that you don't use...

No, means you have low memory. You could have too many applications running in the backround, pictures on the device, instead of a media card, etc. Remove your battery while the device is ON, wait a minute and replace. That should help you. Then do a search on how to optimize your memory...

Do you have Visual voice mail installed? Not sure if it affects other cariers, but with VZW this might be the problem. Known issue to be fixed with OS update.
