I have a blackberry 8900 , opened it to change the housing and accidentally broke a pin on the PCB.
Please check the picture.
I would like to know what is the pin I broke for?
And Can it be fixed?

I cant answer that. I wondering the pin soldered on mainboard? If so?, I have no idea how can you fix that.. I guess you have to buy replacement one of hardware(board). you can find 8900 blackberry broke from ebay or craiglist.
Good luck..
Hey FARBES
Thank you for the reply.
The pin is soldered on but I broke the prong which acts like a spring to touch the middle plate for the antenna.
I noticed my wifi reception is bad since the pin broke and my cell reception is sporadic.
Can someone tell me what are the pins for and if I can resolder it
Thanks
As you stated, the pin connects to the main board and that's what it is for.
As for soldering it, you can try but I doubt the signal will really be what it was. The pin is supposed to be one solid unbroken piece and introducing changes in materials and imperfections into it you will probably impact reception.
Wireless devices are very picky. Unless you can find a new pin, give the soldering a try. But as I say, don't be surprised if the receptions still isn't all that great.
