First off I tried all the suggestions including pushing on the lens!

I have a blackberry curve 8320 which took a dip in the ocean, (Not my phone my Granddaughters) , she took out the battery at once and gave it to be to see if I could bring it back to life since it had water in it.

I took it apart and cleaned it entirely and charged the battery, and it came back to life with some exceptions.

    1. the roller ball requires that I push from the 11- o- clock position in order to click an app.
    2. the camera does not activate instead I get the message " could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again."
BTW the roller ball scroll fine.
    3. the video camera comes on then goes back to the home screen.

Any Ideas why the camera might not be working and how to fix?
What apps could be running that I could close and how do I find out what apps are running, is there a code like on a computer ctrl/alt/del to bring up the task manager?

I also have done a wipe to set it back to factory setting but camera still does same thing

    You answered your own question.

    BB + water = BAD

BB + salt water = REALLY BAD

Yes I know but all else is working except the camera, and the video camera!

I am wondering if I am missing something on the phone, I read where someone said they pushed the lens back onto the rubber? is there anything between the actual lens and the outer back case , I can take a pic if necessary just a thought?
