    I have a verizon curve 8330 and I was upgrading my OS to .169 and in the middle i had an error message. the message told me to go to back up file to get my system back. right now the phone does not turn on and i have no idea what to do. Can someone please help me!!!!

    Plug it into your PC and see if desktop manager recognizes. If so download the .169 OS from the BB link in .169 forum and run apploader.

    Sounds like it may be bricked if you can't get it to turn on. Look for link on "nuked or bricked" to see if it matches what others are experiencing. Be patient, it can be a pain, but will eventually work it out. Did you do a backup prior?

    not as long as you follow those step and select Automatically backup all etc.....

    Have you done a battery pull with the phone on?

    ok i will look it up but unfortunately i was stupid and did not do a back up.

    i did do a battery pull and nothing was happening. it is still a black screen. i did hit automatically back up all when i was upgrading.

    when the error message came up it told me to go into the file "back up" or somethin like that but i cant find the file

    Go to my computer. Then search the c drive for an .ipd file. This is your back up file.

    thanks for all your help. i did back up my files so i was able to put the OS back on then upload everything back to the phone
