    after i start up mu bb 8520 it says "your current sim card requires an unlock code" then when i do that it restarts helpppp!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is it unlocked? If not, contact your current service provider. They'll usually help you out.

    It's a known software issue, The only way we've been able to fix it was to have the phone physically and unlock it with our equipment.

    Try to get it replaced if possible.
