My BB messenger has not been working all day today.
I did battery pulls etc and nothing seems to fix it.
Everything else works fine.

Not sure if its a problem specific to T&T because my friend here is having the same problem. The status for him shows as Unreachable.

No problems with accessing sites or signing in to Jivetalk etc.
And my free memory is 19000000+bytes
Only BB messenger isn't working.

Do you have good data on the browser and email working? BBM should be working.

Make sure you are adding your friends by their PIN number, not email or by the address book. BBM has been screwy with adding by email lately. Delete the pending contacts, before trying to add again.

hey im having trouble with my BB messenger as well. everytime someone sends me a msg, i see that i have a message waiting for me but i cant open it until i end the current conversation with them. then it opens up the message as a new conversation with the person...this happened after all my texts messages and the calls in my call log were erased...it already happened twice and i dont know whats up...any ideas?

Im actually having problems getting my Blackberry messenger to even work at all, i have two pending friends, and neither received a request for me to be their friend... can someone add me and see if it works? my pin:

I've been seeing the same problems. I've had a couple of requests sent to me that I accepted but they just sat in the pending status till I ended up deleting them.

Would someone send try to add me so I can see if you get my acceptance back? My pin is listed in my information.

The manner in which I am most successful in adding a contact is by the PIN number, not by email.

-Go to ADD CONTACT
Your BB will default to the Address Book.
Scroll up to "use once" OR press a "u" to get there
-Press MENU and choose ADD BY PIN.
type in the PIN of the contact.

This will change (it is rumored) with OS 4.5, when adding a contact, you will immediately be given a choice to add by PIN or email, or to access your address book.
