I currently have the curve and I was thinking about getting the 8830, is there anyone who has the 8830 then switched to the curve and prefers the 8830 more and why? I know the major difference is the camera.
Thanks

I'd recommend just sticking with the 8330. Unless you travel a lot, the value of the 8830 over it's more photogenic sister is minor if not simply untrue. While I won't badmouth my 8830 as it has been a reliable tank of a phone that has done everything it's supposed to with great ease, I will say that it's market is much narrower than the Curve.
Agreed, unless you plan on doing international roaming, the 8330 is better. More memory, smaller in hand, better keyboard spacing, camera, and quicker firmware updates.

Compleately agree with this. I compared both 8830 and 8330, and went with the Curve. Although I loved the red color of the 8830!
I thought the 8820 and the 8830 were pretty much the same but I didn't realize that wasd one of the differences. What are some of the other, if I mighjt threadjack a little. Sorry. :$

They are mostly the same device. The 8820 is actually newer than the 8830 and quite frankly is better in almost every way. Verizon's does not permit BB devices without a camera to send MMS. You could receive, but the logic in the thinking is that since it doesn't have a camera, there's nothing to be sent. So outgoing MMS is disabled.
