I'm about to buy someone's blackberry who specified that it "cannot be hooked up" as a cell phone to a service provider since the previous owner bailed on the contract. Knowing the previous service provider is Telus, is it possible to unlock the phone and sign up for a plan with Koodo? thanks.

Even though koodo's owned by Telus, because it is a cdma phone, you can't activate it on a different operator.
