My screen backlight will not turn off unless I put the phone in a holster or cover. I've tried all the settings and nothing works. Any suggestions?

Try a battery pull and did you save the settings after you set them?

A battery pull might help, or even reloading/updating the OS. A hardware might be causing the problem, also. But try a battery pull first and see if that fixes the problem.

Try going to your clock app, and making sure you don't have bedside mode on. It will keep your backlight on if you just hit the end call button instead of the back button to leave it.
