My friends blackberry curve got water damaged, now it is fully functional but the backlight went out. Is there anyway to fix this himself or maybe some one he could pay to fix this?

Any ideas would be awesome.

Try the Options > Screen Keypad > Backlight Always on ,, does that works ,, if not it could been short circuited somewhere ,,

Ill try that, but its not even on at all. The screen looks like its greyscale weirdly. Any other ideas?
