That's your GPS icon. In the state you drew, it is as "OFF" as is possible without turning OFF your phone. If you turn on Location Aiding, you will see ))) beside the icon. The GPS by itself doesn't transmit and doesn't consume any additional power. You can ignore the icon if you aren't using the GPS.
That symbol will never go away.. no way to get rid of it.. It is your location, which like others have said is in the E911(except 911) mode.. this is the only option other then turning it on. Soo you are stuck with it. Nice drawing by the way.. got what icon you ment right away.
