Actually, depends which 8330 you talking about. Because there are 8330s that use SIM cards (AT&T).

OP stated it was an 8330 from Verizon, which is a CDMA device. You can't use an 8330 on a GSM network, a GSM Curve is a 8310 or 8320 (has wifi). The 8330 doesn't even have a SIM card slot.

Is your 8330 the world phone edition? If it is, it could be unlocked to run on T-Mobile, if not, you can't use it on T-Mobile or any other GSM network for that matter.

To add to what plkcable said, you're probably thinking of the 8830, which is a world phone (both GSM and CDMA). The 8830 doesn't work here in North America, the frequencies it uses only work overseas. So it can't be used on Tmobile here in the US.
