I searched other threads for the answer and tried the suggestions, but still cannot get my BB Curve 8900 to allow certain callers to ring when my phone is on silent. Can anyone provide the directions? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks! I got to "custom ringtones" (there was no option for "phone") and went to the ringtone I'd already had assigned. It gave me the option to change the ringtone, but nothing for "play sound" or "always." Hmm....

Does the phone only profile do what you want? It suppresses all sounds except the phone itself.
