I have a bell 8330 blackerry that I found in a rental car, I called the owner off his cell number, he wrote it off as lost as it was company phone, and if I wanted to I could activate it. Now when I try and call bell they say it has to be returned to negative status by ex owner before I can activate it and I can't reach the ex owner. Is there any way to return this phone to "virgin" status to activated under a new number on my account?
If the phone has been reported lost, it will be no good unless it is reversed by the owner. Sorry, your out of luck. It is done this way otherwise many stolen phones could be activated.
