    My 9320's mic has been very quiet since I bought it and many people say they can't hear me on the phone. My other 9320's mic is much louder. How can I fix this?

    Can I use one from a broken 9320? If not, where can I buy a new mic?

    Why wasting time on repairs when you can get a brand new Bold 9900, in original box, for £50 on eBay. If you really intend to stick around with BBOS for a while then you should consider a new BB 9900, 9320 or 9720 (and a few spare batteries). Just beware of T-Mobile variants (with UMTS bands 1,4,8), they will not work with any other carrier. Some more tips can be found here;

    I have other fully working BBs to use but have lots of data stored on this one. Using Device Switch just because of a faulty mic seems silly.

    I think to Lex24, the effort to find parts for an eleven year old phone and then to take the time to take the phone apart, hoping that is the only issue.... is silly when compared to how cheap a new one can be gotten for. But I get your point about data being on the phone. Does Device Switch still work without BBID? (if so that was a big security blunder on BB's part)

    If you have another 9320, yeah you should be able to swap out the mic... as long as it wasn't damaged at some point.

    Device Switch Wizard is the equivalent of "Full Restore" (all data and all settings) from a backup file (with "Full Backup") which, as already mentioned in another thread, is not the safest approach when restoring the data. You would use the "Selective Restore" process instead, exactly the same way as you did after wiping the OS.

    Backups performed with BB Desktop Software can be used to restore the data (and settings) between different devices. I have, for instance, restored all Password Keeper data from BB 8830 WE (OS 4.5) to Curve 9320 (OS 7.1) without any problems.
