What is the difference between Edge and 3G? I am thinking about getting the 8900 from AT&T (here in Vermont AT&T is running on 2G or so Best Buy says).

I am also wondering if I can play regular mp3s on the Curve (ones I've downloaded) or do they have to be itunes?

    Thanks in advance

EDGE is considered 2G by AT&T and that is what is running in your area from the information you are giving. Regular MP3s play just fine on the 8900.

ATT 8900 seems to have the same keypad as the old Curve...TMO's 8900 has the all blacked out keyboard with orange fonts

    on top of everything else

    Tour $199 w/ 2 year

    Verizon's BB + Unlimited everything w/ the lowest 450 mins = $99.99 + taxes/fees

    Where as
    8900 $149.99

    T-Mobile 300 mins fav5 $34.99 BB plan is $24.99
    Unlimited Domestic Text, Instant, Picture & Video Messaging $14.99 = $74.97 + taxes/fees

Just switched from VZ to TMO
    Im saving a lot more w/ T-Mobile.
and getting a lot more out of it.

Just the comparision on pricing for the Tour w/ VZ or 8900 T-Mobile

3G is not big deal imo cuz with UMA I get service in buildings and can use data too.
