CrackBerry is Under New Ownership and Relaunching in 2022 Beyond BlackBerry - Read All About It!
- I wouldn't do it if I were you. The difference in screen quality is enough to stick with the 8900! I'm an iPhone user who's been lusting after BlackBerry for a while now, and without hesitation, I'd say the 8900 is a better device. Yeah, I like the trackpad better than the trackball, but really, that's the ONLY good reason to downgrade. Worse screen, worse build quality, and flimsiness are reasons to stay with your 8900.
Hope that helped!08-10-09 08:59 PMLike 0 - Ok, so I have a bold and an 8520, and my wife has a 8900. That being said I think the 8520 is a great phone. Does it compare to the bold or 8900 in screen quality? No. But it is not a cheap phone by any means. It is very sturdy and the rubber surround instead of a chrome bezel is awesome. The trackpad absolutely kills the trackball. You can't go wrong either way. The 8520 was a very smart choice for a replacement for the 8320 for rim. Check it out and see for your self, you will not be dissapointed.08-10-09 09:50 PMLike 0

I won the 8520 from Blackberry and have been trying it out for about a month. You get use to the trackpad and realize it is more reliable than the trackball. Also everyone seems to forget the media controls on top of the phone. I think this is a great addition for the BB, especially since I have a 16 GB card with tons of music. Yes there is no GPS, but how often do you use it? Yea the screen is lesser in resolution, but isnt that significant unless you are wanting to watch HD on your phone. Try it on for a while, you will be pleased.08-13-09 08:45 AMLike 0
