First off lets just eliminate water damage possibilities, can someone tell me where the water indicator is on the 8520? The battery doesn't have red marks on the indicator but I was wondering about the phone. I see a small red square but not sure if it is the water indicator as usually on other phones they are much bigger than a square and circular. Second, my backlight was working fine and now it just doesn't turn on anymore, if it does it is very dim. I changed the settings, the backlight should be high! I guess I can just go warranty this but first I would like to know where the water indicator is thanks guys.

If you take the back off the phone and look where your memory card goes in, right below that is a screw and to the right of that is a "gap" and then the battery...right in that gap is where the phones water mark sticker is...and yes...it is a little square on these phones. If that's red it just MAY have water damage, and that may be the cause of your problems.
