Have a curve that I recently upgraded to .160. It is not working as expected and I would like to downgrade. 3 Questions.
1. What OS should I download?
2. Where do I find said OS?
3. What is the best way to go about this?
Thanks in advance....

do a search (either here or google) for 4.5.0.77. then install is the same way you did .160. However, I must warn you, .77 stinks
I have heard .131 is the most stable version for VZW 8330s. Any thoughts?
.131 is the most stable. Although in the hybrid os forum there is a hybrid that consists of 160, 4.6 files and 5.0 files. That is what I am running and its great.

It is the 8330m .160/.138/5.0 hybrid. But you could just substitute .160 with .131 if you want.

Other than a hybrid .131 is definitely the most stable OS for a VZW 8330.

Remove any OS's from your PC and install .131 then downgrade the same as you would upgrade via DM or loader.exe.
Loader.exe can be found by navigating to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and double click the loader.exe (folder with a cellphone on it) file to launch the application loader.
Don't forget to delete the vendor.xml file:)

How do I remove an old OS from my pc?
Are there folders and files I need to delete inside the RIM folder?
From add/remove programs.

Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs.

I was in the same boat as you. 160 is not stable at all, its soo SLOOWWWWWW lol. I went with .131 and I love it. Its much more stable, and I think its also faster than .77.
Wow... I swear I'm not that dumb. I didn't think it was actually installing a program.
Thanks
Lol, no problem:)
