Yesterday, I had Sprint do an operating system upgrade on my Curve 8330 so now I have 4.5.0.131. Ever since this upgrade was done, when my phone's screen goes to black (I guess this is called standby mode), when I hit a key to bring up my screen again, it takes SECONDS to come back up!!! You can see a VERY dim screen....almost black...and then the fully lit screen comes up later.
Does anyone know what the problem might be or how I can fix it??
Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer!!
Mine started this right after upgrading from 4.3 to 4.5. I've heard that it's a weird bug with the OS, but doesn't happen on all phones. If you bring the berry out of "sleep" mode with the trackball, it lags. However, if you use the spacebar, it comes up quicker.
Mine was doing the same thing before i upgraded...went to the newer OS thinking that was it but its still doing it...its getting on my friggin nerves!!! Anyone know how to fix this?
i have 2 sprint bb's one for a phone and he other for backup.
i smashed the screen on my everyday one so i had to order a new screen and i went to my standby titanium one and have noticed the cams problem.
it never happened to my red one but it does it all the time on the titanium
I noticed a slight wake up lag when using the track ball after I upgraded from .127 to .131. Not a real big deal. It remained, but not as pronounced after the upgrade to .160. Still, I was accustomed to using ther space bar to wake it up so not a big deal again.
I have the same issue and i have been trying to figure it out for a week now only thing i havent done is a hard reset on it to maybe bumb the software or something. But it is getting very annoying.
I just upgraded to 4.5.0.138 yesterday and I also have the lag in wakeup from standby. It seemed to improve after I sent new service books. my 2 cents.

Update......the wake up lag I reported has been fixed in the recent (.169) build. Pressing the trackball now wakes my Curve almost instantly.
