    Morning, everyone!

Yesterday, I had Sprint do an operating system upgrade on my Curve 8330 so now I have 4.5.0.131. Ever since this upgrade was done, when my phone's screen goes to black (I guess this is called standby mode), when I hit a key to bring up my screen again, it takes SECONDS to come back up!!! You can see a VERY dim screen....almost black...and then the fully lit screen comes up later.

Does anyone know what the problem might be or how I can fix it??

Thanks in advance for any help you all can offer!!

Mine started this right after upgrading from 4.3 to 4.5. I've heard that it's a weird bug with the OS, but doesn't happen on all phones. If you bring the berry out of "sleep" mode with the trackball, it lags. However, if you use the spacebar, it comes up quicker.

Sometimes my Pearl does this, but only when I use the End Call button to wake it. If I use the Back button, it never does it.

I don't get this! I will take your suggestions and try other buttons to wake my berry up. This happened as SOON as Sprint updated me from 4.3 to 4.5

I noticed a slight wake up lag when using the track ball after I upgraded from .127 to .131. Not a real big deal. It remained, but not as pronounced after the upgrade to .160. Still, I was accustomed to using ther space bar to wake it up so not a big deal again.

It is a known bug with the later OS builds. Use the Space bar or Enter key instead of the Trackball to wake up your Berry.

There has to be a fix for this, I too wish it worked like the old OS, no lag when waking the phone up...

I have taken it to Sprint and searched numerous hours online, the Space Bar or Mute Key does seem to work a little better. Guess we are stuck...

I just upgraded to 4.5.0.138 yesterday and I also have the lag in wakeup from standby. It seemed to improve after I sent new service books. my 2 cents.

After upgrading to .138 my lag issues have stopped. I would try the upgrades ya'll and see if that fixes your problem.

Update......the wake up lag I reported has been fixed in the recent (.169) build. Pressing the trackball now wakes my Curve almost instantly.
