8330 GPS has same capabilities as 8830 (autonomous and assisted)
GPS
Assisted, autonomous, simultaneous. Supports Sprint Navigation, BlackBerry Maps & other GPS applications.
There you go, off of Sprint's website. Phonescoop reported these same capabilities for the 8830 when it came out, but then was forced to "*" in a comment about "Carrier Specific" once Verizon heard about it and made a few calls. Since then Phonescoop has reported all other GPS related info for any handsets which Verizon also carries as "aGPS Only".
Speculations showed at first that GPS on the 8830 was definatly tied down to aGPS because once PDE was taken out, it wouldn't work for Sprint. We'll see what the 8330 brings. It has the same Qualcomm chipset as the 8830 BTW.
Verizon = :thumbsdown:
Sprint = :giving finger to Verizon:
