Call Verizon Customer Service. Call Waiting most likely isn't properly enabled on your account. If that's the case, Customer Service can fix it for you. I don't know anything you can do to enable it.
Thanks. i looked everywhere in the phone and found nothing. i figured call waiting was a standard feature with all plans but something must have got mest up when i got this new phone.
afaik, its not a standard feature, but usually if you get a voice mail package, there's usually call waiting in the same package. not all the time though
