Hey all, I've tried a ton of different searches trying to nail this answer down - no luck.

I am basically looking to find a black plastic LCD lens cover like the one offered on the 8330 but would like one for my 8310.

I've searched ebay, but the only black ones I can find are listed for the 8330..

Now after looking at pictures and what not of the cover, the shape looks the same...the aesthetic differences that can easily be identified is the lens cover on the 8330 has the slit for the LED light - the LED light on the other 83## series curves are on the case portion above this lens cover. Another difference is the design where the earpiece is.

Now this LED slit doesnt bother me. My main concern is whether the fitment of this LCD cover will work on my 8310. And does the cover line up with the LCD? Does anyone have any input??

On another note, does anyone know where I can buy an 8310 (or 8300/8320) specific black cover if the 8330 one does not fit??

the lcd cover does not interchange between the 8330 and any other blackberry model. in addition to what you noticed, the upper edge of the frame extends higher up the face than the 8310, and the lower part is cut to accommodate different shaped keys of the 8330. it is not in any way compatible.

the if you want a black one, i can get you one, but it will cost you as i have to cannibalize one of my complete OEM red housings. i still cant get them by themselves.

maybe i'll buy a 8310 case and use it..and then just keep that case as a spare..

$30 shipped.

full red housing sells for $50 shipped.

i only justify that price for now since i'm forced to cannibalize a red housing and slap a silver lens on it, which is less desirable for most who are looking for the full red kit... so i end up offering the cannibalized red kit for $35.
