Hey all just wanted to give any of you out there that are thinking of making the jump to the newest leaked beta OS 4.5.0.69 a quick rundown review regarding how the software is running.
Up and running now on AT&T carrier for one week. Here are my findings.
It's really not much more of a difference than the official .55 release. There was a few fixes in certain areas such as any rebooting and memory leak areas. So far I have had a constant free memory file of 21,xxx,xxx bytes with a few 3rd party apps. Very little to no memory leak, just the usual message and phone log usage.I have yet to have one re-boot by itself. It is a very very stable OS. So in one whole week like I said not ONE re-boot. All applications seem to be running with ZERO issues. The browser seems a little faster compared to my other 8310 sitting here with .55, not by a huge amount but if you had the two OS's sitting here going at it, the new .69 would win. After a few minutes or hour or so after the initial instalation the home screen and overal interface was faster and smooth. Overall, I really enjoy it and I think we are pretty much there on the FINAL OS.
I have word from someone at AT&T that the 4.5 OS will be out pretty soon, so don't be suprised if this is the last BETA leaked.
Thank you all, and if you need help upgrading .... send me a pm!
Very good, glad that you found this Beta, I am currently running .46, I really like it, but with Docs2Go, i don't have the spreadsheet yet, is it because that it is a standard edition, or will the full edition be released with the official OS?

Very good deal, yea I have to get a warranty exchange on my girl;s curve. Its re-booting itself over and over then will be good for a few minutes then re-boot. Did it in her pearl too, so I went and grabbed a new sim card, same problem.
running .69 for the last hour. missing my browser icon, it defaults to media net and does not give me an option to change it. have the same amount of free memory from .55. will play around with it some more.
edit: Browser icon is back.

Reason: update
Quick question. I updated a second 8310 I had to an earlier build of 4.5 but was hesitant to upgrade my main Curve. So I'm running 4.2.2.194 and super stable on that phone, and am comfortable.
That being said, I can't leave well enough alone, so I have to ask: should I bother with upgrading my main phone to this latest build? Those of you who are running it - do you see a real reason other than the video cam and DocsToGo? I compared the two devices and figured I could wait for a new device with a new OS, but I have a little time on my hands and figured I'd ask...
NICE.... I am really starting to feel las this is it, the final BETA for the 4.5 versions!
not by a long shot.
the OS will always continue with revisions even if/when a beta goes gold. hence why 4.2.2.180 didnt stop there but continued on to further revisions until it hits EOL and is superceded by a new OS, i.e. 4.2.2.xxx stopped only after 4.5.0.xx development began.
