I have the 8330 Curve and I can't play a video's that I receive, if they are 3gp. I assume all Blackberry's create video's in this file format. Does anyone know how to get these to play?

3gp is a real common file type for phones and I would think you should be able to play them... my phone can.
what os are you running on your phone?
I have 4.5. If it's sent from an email I can't open them. But if it's sent as an mms, I can watch them. I don't understand. The files are not more than the limit set for messages. I think you can receive up to 2mb in an email and this video is like 447kb.
Do you have Blackberry Attachment Services loaded on your BB?
Check your Options, Advanced Options, Applications list for Blackberry Attachment Services. If you don't have this loaded on your BB, you can load it on your BB by downloading a copy of your OS on your PC, then use Application Loader to select and load it on your BB.
Xliderider,
I do have the Blackberry Attachment Service 4.5.0, in my Applications list. Is there a way to delete it and re-install it? Do you think that will fix the issue? And like I posted before, this video is not even close to 1mb. It's 447kb.
I'm not sure if removing/reinstalling the app will fix the problem.
Perhaps you should check with Sprint customer service first. Maybe nothing's broken, but that's just the way it is on Sprint?
It has to be. I just recorded a 10 second video and sent it to my email and tried to open it, and it wouldn't open it. Darn!!! My friend sent me a video through email and I can't look at it on my phone.
Try forwarding the email and attachment to another email account you can access on your computer, then open the attached vid on your computer.
yea. it must be a sprint thing. its happening to my phone too. even through bbm. i can recieve and download them but when i go to watch them it gives me an error. even 3gp.
Just noticed under Menu/Options/MMS there is Multimedia Reception and Automatic Retrieval, I have no problems and both are set to always.
